Life doesn't always give us the joys we want. we don't always get our hopes and dreams, and we don't always get our own way. but don't give up hope, because you can make a difference one situation and one person at a time.
Look for the beauty around you--in nature, in others, in yourself--and believe in the love of friends, family, and humankind. you can find love in a smile or a helping hand, in a thoughtful gesture or a kind word. it is all around, if you just look for it.
“We are reading the first verse of the first chapter of a book whose pages are infinite…”
I do not know who wrote those words, but I have always liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want to make it. We can take the mysterious, hazy future and carve out of it anything that we canimagine, just as a sculptor carves a statue from a shapeless stone.
We are all in the position of the farmer. If we plant a good seed, we reap a good harvest. If our seed is poor and full of weeds, we reap a useless crop. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
I want the future to be better than the past. I don’t want it contaminated by the mistakes and errors with which history is filled.We should all be concerned about the future because that is where we will spendthe remainder of our lives.
The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do willchange it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affectit. Each day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, ifwe only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of the progress in everyfield of human endeavor.
The love of beauty is an essential part of all healthy human nature. It is a moral quality. The absence of it is not an assured ground of condemnation, but the presence of it is an invariable sign of goodness of heart. In proportion to the degree in which it is felt will probably be the degree in which nobleness and beauty of character will be attained.
Natural beauty is an all-pervading presence. The universe is its temple. It unfolds into the numberless flowers of spring. It waves in the branches of trees and the green blades of grass. It haunts the depths of the earth and the sea. It gleams from the hues of the shell and the precious stone. And not only these minute objects but the oceans, the mountains, the clouds, the stars, the rising and the setting sun---all overflow with beauty. This beauty is so precious, and so congenial to our tenderest and noblest feelings, that it is painful to think of the multitude of people living in the midst of it and yet remaining almost blind to it.
All persons should seek to bee acquainted with the beauty in nature. There is not a worm we tread upon, nor a leaf that dances merrily as it falls before the autumn winds, but calls for our study and admiration. The power to appreciated beauty not merely increases our sources of happiness---it enlarges our moral nature, too. Beauty calms our restlessness and dispels our cares. Go into the fields or the woods, spend a summer day by the sea or the mountains, and all your little perplexities and anxieties will vanish. Listen to sweet music, and your foolish fears and petty jealousies will pass away. The beauty of the world helps us to seek and find the beauty of goodness.

If your life feels like it is lacking the power that you want and the motivation that you need, sometimes all you have to do is shift your point of view.
Your life can be enhanced, and your happiness enriched, when you choose to change your perspective. Don’t leave your future to chance, or wait for things to get better mysteriously on their own. You must go in the direction of your hopes and aspirations. Begin to build your confidence, and work duanwenw through problems rather than avoid them. Remember that power is not necessarily control over situations, but the ability to deal with whatever es your way.
Always believe that good things are possible, and remember that mistakes can be lessons that lead to discoveries. Take your fear and transform it duanwenw into trust; learn to rise above anxiety and doubt. Turn your “worry hours” into “productive hours”. Take the energy that you have wasted and direct it toward every worthwhile effort that you can be involved in.
It is customary for adults to forget how hard and dull and long school is. The learning by memory of all the basic things one must know is a most incredible and unending effort.
Learning to read is probably the most difficult and revolutionary thing that happens to the human brain and if you don't believe that,watch an illiterate adult try to do it.
School is not easy and it is not for the most part very much fun,but then,if you are very lucky,you may find a real teacher. Three real teachers in a lifetime is the very best of my luck. My first was a science and math teacher in high school, my second , a professor of creative writing at Stanford , and my third was my friend and partner, Ed Ricketts.
I have e to believe that a great teacher is a great artist and that there are as few as there are any other great artists. It might even be the greatest of the arts since the medium is the human mind and spirit.
My three had these things in mon:they all loved what they were doing. They did not tell, they catalyzed a burning desire to know. Under their influence, the horizons sprung wide and fear went away and unknown became knowledge. But most important of all ,the truth,that dangerous stuff,became beautiful and precious.
I shall speak only of my first teacher because in addition to the other things, she brought discovery.
She aroused us to shouting,book-waving discussion. She had the noisiest class in school and she didn't even seem to know it . We could never stick to the subject. Our speculation ranged the world.
She breathed curiosity into us so that we brought in facts or truths shielded in our hands like captured fireflies.
She was fired and perhaps rightly so, for failing to teach fundamentals. Such things must be learned. But she left a passion in us for the pure knowable world and she inflamed me with a curiosity which has never left . I could not do simple arithmetic but through her I sensed that abstract mathematics was very much like music. When she was relieved, a sadness came over us but the light did not go out.

When someone looks into your eyes they should see something alive within you. Having a dream is like owning a lighthouse1 which directs you on your journey.
At every turn we e across its mystery. At each new level we bee more of the person we were meant to bee. In lonely times, when we pass through a storm of disappointment, we find our faith is unshaken, our strength still strong.
Believe in your faith. Set the vision before your eyes. Write down your most sincere dreams and when the opportunity es, step into your dream. It may take one season or more, but the result is the same. Make big dreams and then go out and make them realities. The highest hopes of the dreamer are revealed with every step taken in their journey to the impossible. For a season we must protect the dream so that it can grow quietly on the inside. But if we tenderly care for our deepest expectations, slowly but surely the dream will bee new life.
Dreaming is an act of faith. The light of your expectations will cast off the shadows of a disbelieving world. God has given us the dreamer as a gift to light an unbelieving world.
Find your treasure within and cherish it. Tomorrow is waiting for you to take the first step.

It's not a technology capability category to be able to share weal and woe with people, but now teamwork is more and more concentrated. In this case, affinity is more important. Don't lose the color you have, or you will lose yourself day by day.
Many job seekers face profession wrong and plain incessantly, and be able to find 100 of their own is not a coward's reason, is not willing to take even a fact to prove that I was brave. In the increasingly fierce petition in the future society, mutual cooperation and mon struggle is more and more important, not to cooperate with others, will be conducive to the mon enterprise, more conducive to personal development, years of work and life experiences that I deeply appreciate the "dry line, love line" and "no one will no real meaning will be laid off, dedicated unemployment". Today, looking for a job again, whether the future is optimistic or not, I will bravely ring the door of happiness and make myself better adapt to the needs of the society in the new working environment, so as to realize the life value of myself and others.
There are many job seekers who feel sad, sad and sad. Worry worry about it, perhaps only in that making their own learning effectively, do well, live.

Don t listen to those who say,"It’s not done that way。” Maybe it’s not, but maybe you will。 Don’t listen to those who say,"You’re taking too big a chance。” Michelangelo would have painted the Sistine Floor,and it would surely be rubbed out by today。 Most importantly, don’t listen When the little voice of fear inside of your ear its ugly head and says,"They’re all smarter than you out there。 They’re more talented,They’re taller, blonder, prettier, luckier and have connections。"I firmly believe that if you follow a path that interests you,Not to the exclusion of love,sensitivity, and cooperation with others,But with the strength of conviction That you can move others by your own efforts,And do not make success or failure the criteria by which you live,The chances are you’ll be a person worthy of your own respect。
Not until you realize that life itself is a beautiful thing will you really start to live. Although living bines tragedy with splendor, life is beautiful and even tragedies reflect something engaging. If you were simply to live, do more than that; live beautifully.
Through the sea of darkness, hope is the light that brings us fort, faith, and reassurance. It guides our way if we are lost and gives us a foothold on our fears. The moment we lose hope is the moment we surrender our will to live. We live in a world that is disintegrating into a vicious hatred, where hope is needed more than ever but cannot be discerned. Finding that is rare while the world lives in fear, but the belief in something better, something bigger than this, is what keeps life worth living.
Then you hear a baby speaking her first word, you see seniors holding hands, you feel the first spring rain, or smell the pine tree at Christmas, and remember that no matter how awful it is, there is always hope. No matter how weak we are, we will always survive.

Bad times aren't going to last forever but if you want more great times ahead of you instead of just good times, it's time to start doing things that will make that a reality… it's time to work toward your ideal destination.

A mouse once took a bite out of a bull's tail as he lay dozing1. The bull jumped up in a rage and, with his head low to the ground, chased the mouse right across the yard. The mouse was too quick for him, however, and slipped easily into a hole in the wall.
The bull charged the wall furiously again and again, but although he bruised2 his head and chipped his horns, the mouse stayed safely inside his hole. After a time the bull gave up and sank down to rest again.
As soon as the bull was asleep, the little mouse crept to the mouth of the hole, pattered across the yard, bit the bull again -- this time on the nose -- and rushed back to safety. As the bull roared helplessly the mouse squeaked3:

Parents often get angry because of their trouble in their lives. Let's say that your mother is not happy about her boss. If she doesn't have other ways of expressing her emotions, she might e home and yell at you, scream at your dad, kick at the dog, or even say something mean to you.xiao84
Here's how to handle it when an adult in your life has trouble controlling his or her anger: Don't make it worse. Angry people can have trouble thinking clearly, so try not to do or say anything to make things worse. Wait till your parent cools off, then talk to him or her in a calm tone, and try to explain how the anger is affecting you.

On the surface, Chinatown is prosperous - a "model slum," some have called it - with the lowest crime rate, highest employment and least juvenile delinquency of any city district. Walk through its crowded streets at any time of day, and every shop is doing a brisk and businesslike trade: restaurant after restaurant is booming; there are storefront displays of shiny squids, clawing crabs and clambering lobster; and street markets offer overflowing piles of exotic green vegetables, garlic and ginger root. Chinatown has the feel of a land of plenty, and the reason why lies with the Chinese themselves: even here, in the very core of downtown Manhattan, they have been careful to preserve their own way of dealing with things, preferring to keep affairs close to the bond of the family and allowing few intrusions into a still-insular culture. There have been several concessions to Westerners - storefront signs now offer English translations, and Haagen Dazs and Baskin Robbins ice-cream stores have opened
on lower Mott Street - but they can't help but seem
incongruous. The one time of the year when Chinatown bursts open is during the Chinese New Year festival, held each year on the first full moon after
January 19, when a giant dragon runs down Mott Street to the acpaniment of firecrackers, and the gutters run with ceremonial dyes.
Beneath the neighborhood's blithely prosperous facade, however, there is a darker underbelly. Sharp practices continue to flourish, with traditional
extortion and protection rackets still in business. Non-union sweatshops - their assembly lines grinding from early morning to late into the evening - are still visited by the US Department of Labor, who e to investigate workers' testimonies of being paid below minimum wage for seventy-plus-hour work weeks. Living conditions are abysmal for the poorer Chinese - mostly recent immigrants and the elderly - who reside in small rooms in overcrowded
tenements ill-kept by landlords. Yet, because the munity has been
cloistered for so long and has only just begun to seek help from city officials for its internal problems, you won't detect any hint of difficulties unless you reside in Chinatown for a considerable length of time.
The ray of the warm sunlight told us that it was spring. A lion was sleeping peacefully in the forest.
While the lion was fast asleep, a mouse went on top of the lion. The bold mouse played happily on top of the lion. "Yuppie! This is really fun." The mouse ran around thumping and stomping here and there.
The lion was not able to sleep with all the racket. The lion knew that there was someone on top of him. So, the lion made a surprise attack and rolled on the ground.
And the mouse fell over. When the lion saw the mouse he was relieved and said, "Whew! It was only a mouse."
However, far away a fox had seen the scene. The fox laughed mockingly to the lion and said, "You're as big as a mountain and you're afraid of the mouse. You're a coward!" The fox kept making fun of the Lion.
Finally the lion spoke, "I wasn't afraid of the mouse. I was only shocked to find a bold enough animal not afraid to run around on top of a lion." When the fox heard this he quietly left.

People often wonder why historians go to so much trouble to preserve millions of books, documents and records.
Why do we have libraries? What good are these documents and history books? Why do we record and save the actions of men, the negotiations1 of government officials and the events during wars?
We do it because, sometimes, the voice of experience can cause us to stop, look and listen. Sometimes, past records, when understood in the right way, can help us decide what to do and what not to do. If we are ever to create lasting peace, we must seek its origins in human experience and in the records of human history.
From the stories of courage and devotion of men and women, we create the inspirations of youth. History records the suffering, the self-denial2, the devotion, and the heroic deeds of people in the past. These records can help us when we are confused and when we really need peace.
The main purpose of history is to create a better world. History gives a warning to those who promote war, and inspiration to those who seek peace.
In short, history helps us learn. Yesterday’s records can keep us from repeating yesterday’s mistakes. And from the pieces of mosaic4 assembled5 by historians e the great murals6 which represent the progress of mankind.
A Nail Or A Fly?
An old gentleman whose eyesight was failing came to stay in a hotel room with a bottle of wine in each hand. On the wall there was a fly which he took for a nail. So the moment he hung them on, the bottles fell broken and the wine spilt all over the floor. When a waitress discovered what had happened, she showed deep sympathy for him and decided to do him a favor.
So the next morning when he was out taking a walk in the roof garden, she hammered a nail exactly where the fly had stayed.
Now the old man entered his room. The smell of the spilt wine reminded him of the accident. When he looked up at the wall, he found the fly was there again! He walked to it carefully and slapped it with all his strength. On hearing a loud cry, the kind-hearted waitress rushed in. To her great surprise, the poor old man was there sitting on the floor, his teeth clenched and his right hand bleeding!
The first snow came. How beautiful it was, falling so silently all day long, all night long, on the mountains, on the meadows, on the roofs of the living, on the graves of the dead! All white save the river, that marked its course by a winding black line across the landscape; and the leafless trees, duanwenw that against the leaden sky now revealed more fully the wonderful beauty and intricacies of their branches. What silence, too, came with the snow, and what seclusion! Every sound was muffled, every noise changed to something soft and musical. No more tramping hoofs, no more rattling wheels! Only the chiming of the sleigh-bells, beating as swift and merrily as the hearts of children.
By Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Baby frogs went on a picnic in the woods. Getting out of the pond for the first time, they sang merrily.
Then, they found a cow grazing in a field. "Oh, my! What is that?" "It is huge!" All of them wondered what kind of animal it was. "Let's ask Daddy."
They returned home in a hurry and shouted, "Daddy, we saw a strange animal." "What kind of animal was it?"
"It had large horns on its head and its body was way bigger than you. Even if we all add up our power, we can not defeat that animal."
The father was curious what the animal looked like. "Really? Was it bigger than my stomach?" "Yes. Much bigger than that!"
The father frog blew up his stomach largely, "Well, now, I'm as big as the animal, right?" "No, you are as big as the animal's heel." The father puffed himself up deeply and blew up his stomach enormously.
"How about now? Am I as big as the animal, huh?" "No, not even." Thinking he could not be outdone, the father frog puffed up his stomach even more.
The father frog's stomach was blown up as big as he could get. Right at that very moment, the father frog's stomach burst with a bang.

At every turn we e across its mystery. At each new level we bee more of the person we were meant to bee. In lonely times, when we pass through a storm of disappointment, we find our faith is unshaken, our strength still strong.
